Product Description

Rice candy, a traditional sweetener loved in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, made from rice and barley.

This organic product is made from organic rice and organic barley grown in Ishikawa by Kanazawa Daichi. It is characterised by its natural sweetness and is recommended as a "first sweet" for babies who cannot eat honey. Tube type for convenient use as a substitute for sugar in cooking, baking and adding sweetness to drinks.

For use in fish stews and as a sweetener/glaze for teriyaki.

Pour it over yoghurt.

Dissolve in hot water and add squeezed ginger juice to make "Ginger root tea".


Can be stored at room temperature. Does not harden in the fridge, so it is easy to use in the fridge.
